Q: Who is Giving Birth with Confidence for?
A: Giving Birth with Confidence (GBWC) is a community blog created by Lamaze International for those interested in articles and tips about pregnancy, birth and parenting. It is also a place for parents to connect with the birth education and advocacy community.
Q: Do I have to be a member to participate?
A: No. You may read content and comment on posts without being a member. However, there are areas of the site that require membership if you wish to participate more fully.
Q: Does it cost anything to become a member?
A: No. GBWC is free.
Q: Why should I become a member?
A: It’s easy and it will enrich your experience. You’ll be able to create a profile and also be able to easily comment, rank and select "favorites" so you can be notified via email when new items are posted.
Q: How do I create an account?
A: Simply click the “Request Login” link at the top right of your screen. You’ll need to create a username, provide your email address and choose a password. That’s it; you’re officially part of the parenting community!
Q: How do I update my profile?
Simply click on your profile name in the login box (or use the “My Account” navigation on the black Word Press navigation bar). Then just click on the “Edit Profile” link. You may also add optional information to your profile, such as an avatar (profile image), parent or birth educator identifier, web address or other, more personal, information.
Q: Can I comment on a post without creating an account?
A: Yes.
Q: How can I become a featured writer on GBWC?

Q: How can I get updates from this blog?
A: You may click on the “Subscribe” link on the right side of any page and follow the different instructions and options for receiving notifications of new articles. In order to receive RSS feeds, you will need to use a subscription application such as Live Bookmarks, Google reader or Bloglines to manage your feed.
