Lamaze International is excited to announce their LamazeLIVE! 2024 event scheduled for March 7-8, 2024 in Cleveland, OH at the beautiful Tinkham Veale University Center on the grounds of Case Western Reserve University. This is the first in-person Lamaze event to be held in several years due to the pandemic. We could not be more excited about this opportunity for childbirth educators, midwives, doulas, nurses, doctors and other perinatal professionals to come together and learn about the latest research and best practices in childbirth education and maternal-infant health.

In addition to earning continuing education hours, there will be ample opportunity to network with colleagues and vendors on the campus of Case Western Reserve University as well as explore the Cleveland area.

What makes LamazeLIVE! successful is your willingness to share your skills and expertise with conference attendees. You are invited to submit a speaker proposal for this exciting 2024 event. Lamaze welcomes applications from speakers around the globe who are willing to share their knowledge about pregnancy, birth, early parenting, and education with the Lamaze community.

The Conference Planning Committee will carefully review and select presenters based on a variety of factors, including relevance to Lamaze's mission and strategic priorities, quality of application, professional competence of the speaker, and ability to present ideas or information that will broaden the perspective of attendees. Applicants may indicate their interest in presenting a mainstage (general) session or a poster presentation.

The planning committee will be giving special consideration to speaker proposals on the following topics:

• Supporting postpartum mental health past the 6-week mark
• LGBTQIA+ inclusive birth work
• Preparing for pregnancy with a focus on health considerations
• Collaboration between doulas and medical professionals

Note: applications must be completed in one sitting. Please be prepared to submit the following with your application by the July 16, 2023, 11:59 PM EDT deadline.

• Teaching style
• At least two current references that support the presentation (for mainstage sessions)
• Presenter(s) resume/CV
• Details on previous speaking experiences
• Abstract background, purpose, methods, results, and conclusion (for poster presentations)

All applicants will be notified by mid-August about presentation opportunities. You can submit your speaker proposal through the online application portal found here. If your proposal is selected, you will receive a discounted registration rate.
