It is fun to have a perinatal classroom, lactation support group meeting space, or office, (even a home office space used for virtual meetings) that offers interesting and supportive visual aides and artwork that supports the subject matter that perinatal professionals involve themselves with every day.
Dr. Kathleen Kendall-Tackett is a health psychologist and International Board Certified Lactation Consultant, and the Owner and Editor-in-Chief of Praeclarus Press, a small press specializing in women's health. Praeclarus Press has made some fun posters and infographics on the topics of lactation, doulas, and parenting/lifestyle at no cost to anyone who would like to download them.
Dr. Kendall-Tackett is a well known and favorite speaker at perinatal conferences world-wide, the published author of many respected books and a prolific researcher, published in many peer reviewed journals. Her areas of expertise are related to lactation, perinatal mental health, trauma psychology, safe sleep, and much more.
There are 12 bright, colorful and interesting prints celebrating and supporting bodyfeeding available on the Praeclarus site. Additionally there are four fun prints celebrating doulas and strength during labor/birth. Some people may also appreciate the four infographics available on topics that include oxytocin, screen time and children and more. The drawings celebrate diversity by including a variety of different people and their babies, and some are abstract and whimsical.
It would be fun to download and print some of your favorites from the beautiful artwork that Dr. Kendall-Tackett generously shares on Praeclarus Press, and use the prints to brighten up some of your work areas and meeting spaces.
If you are wanting some new posters and graphics to incorporate into your workspaces and teaching spots, consider checking out the material that Dr. Kendall-Tackett so generously shares here at this link.
Note: The artwork is reflective of diverse people but is gendered and exclusively uses the term breastfeeding which may not reflect the populations you serve.
