Buying fruits and vegetables that are in season in your area often means you can get fresher food for cheaper prices. The price of fresh produce varies from region to region in the United States, of course, but you're more likely to save when you buy local apples and squash, for example, in the fall months. Use the following lists to guide you on finding the freshest and (hopefully) cheaper produce in your area.
